The essential elements for this project were to incorporate the existing school color, logo, and motto of Truman State University but still create something fresh. I chose to create this brochure that our admissions department would give to potential students. I wanted to put a fun spin on the required motto, "Don't follow. Pursue.", so I paired it with a space exploration them. Also, to modernize the color palette, I used orange as secondary color to the required purple.
Since admissions information to a college can be daunting, I wanted to keep the brochure intriguing and have a different experience every time they turned the page.
I used information in the current admissions brochure but updated portions to fit with the space theme. On the back I listed directions to Truman, it is located in the north of Missouri near Iowa so calling it the North Star is pretty fitting!
